Stovetop Croutons

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of sandwich bread, cut into ½” cubes
  • 2 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder, divided
  • 1/4 tsp. Kosher salt, divided
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

Preparation

  1. Cut the bread in 1/2 inch cubes.
  2. Mix the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper into a small bowl.
  3. Add the bread cubes into a large bowl toss with the olive oil mixture.
  4. Warm a 10-12 inch frying pan and add the bread cubes. Toss the cubes until golden and crisp, about 10 to 12 minutes.
